The City of San Marcos, Texas, unanimously approved a 10-year contract extension for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the city鈥檚 9-million-gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The renewal builds on 一糖心logo米菲兔鈥 long-standing relationship with the city, which began in 2005.

Driving sustainable outcomes for San Marcos鈥 wastewater systems

Over the next 10 years, 一糖心logo米菲兔鈥 multi-disciplinary team will support the city鈥檚 WWTP expansion, including capital improvement planning and implementation, facility design, start-up, commissioning and related engineering services. The expansion plan will help the plant meet increasing demand as the community continues to grow.

The new contract includes investment in advanced digital tools and technologies to optimize operations, generate power and chemical savings and safeguard the city鈥檚 critical infrastructure:

  • Development of a WWTP supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) master plan to maintain compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Implementation of our ReplicaTM simulation platform to create a WWTP digital twin and support data-driven decisions during expansion.
  • Use of our  technology to improve plant performance.
